Gurdwara Chotta Ghallughara stands at Gurdaspur as a mark of respect for those who died for their faith. In April–June 1746 the Chotta Ghallughara took the lives of at least 10,000 Sikhs. About 15,000 unarmed civilians were pursued into the marshlands of Khanuwan — their only crime that they wanted to live and die as Sikhs.
